Job Title: Lead Project Manager

Our client is a leading construction Project & Cost Management company, offering services to various industries including corporate, legal, financial, media & entertainment, hospitality, healthcare, education, real estate development, non-profits, retail, and critical facilities. They are headquartered in New York City and have a presence across the United States. The firm supports its clients from the initial phases of planning and site selection, all the way through design, development, overseeing construction, and the final occupancy stage.
Due to their well-established and prominent standing in the market and a strong lineup of upcoming projects, our client aims to enhance its Project Management services. In the role of Lead Project Manager, you'll have the chance to be a part of their growth which concentrates on significant corporate interior design and renovation ventures.
Role Responsibilities:
- Offer direction and guidance to project teams throughout the entire project life cycle, spanning pre-construction, construction, project closure, and post-construction phases.
- Take charge of leading and overseeing multiple sizable and intricate projects within the division.
- Guarantee the punctual and precise accomplishment of financial processes, controls, and reports, encompassing internal budgets, cost monitoring, invoicing, fund collection, subcontractor disbursements, modifications to orders, and contractual obligations.
- Cultivate and uphold strong connections with clients, architects, subcontractors, and key figures in the industry such as landlords and brokers.
- Nurture favorable relationships with subcontractors and supervise Project Managers and other assigned team members involved in projects.
- Assess and authorize subcontractor and vendor invoices, upholding accuracy and alignment with project financial plans.
- Oversee the management of change orders and RFIs (Requests for Information).
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 6+ years industry experience
- Can be from a General Contracting or Consultancy background
- Experience working on Interiors projects
- Proficiency in project management methodologies
- Experience in dynamic, technology-driven environments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Track record of delivering high-quality projects
- Effective communication and multitasking abilities
Preferred Education:
- MBA or Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields such as Construction Management or Engineering.
